SiN/photonic crystal hybrid technology for non-classical photon states generation
Biographie:
A. De Rossi earned his Laurea degree (MS) cum laude in Electrical Engineering from Sapienza University in Rome in 1997. He completed his PhD at Università Roma Tre in 2002 and achieved his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Physics) at Université Paris-Saclay in 2013. In 2023, he was recognized as an OPTICA Fellow for his contributions to the field.
Since 2000, A. De Rossi has been with Thales Research and Technology in Palaiseau (formerly Thomson-CSF/Laboratoire Central des Recherches), where he has worked on a diverse array of topics. His research has spanned infrared photodetectors, quantum cascade lasers, and nonlinear semiconductor waveguides, ultimately leading to a focus on nanoscale photonic devices alongside his colleague, Sylvain Combrié. His recent achievements include the development of advanced nonlinear optical resonators, the first-ever photonic crystal parametric oscillator, and a groundbreaking ultra-efficient probabilistic source of entangled photons. A. De Rossi has authored over 140 articles in top-tier international journals, showcasing his significant impact on the field.
