in Université Paris-Saclay


The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND LIGHTinPARIS project submitted by the Institute for the Sciences of Light (ISL) of Université Paris-Saclay was selected by the European Commission in July 2024. This €3M in funding will enable to co-finance 16 theses starting in autumn 2025 and 14 theses starting in autumn 2026 in the field of Sciences of Light. .
Environment
Université Paris-Saclay gathers 700 researchers across 28 laboratories, and 5 graduate schools working in the field of sciences of light. Each year, the university graduates 200 engineers and 70 PhDs specializing in optics. The campus hosts several world-class research facilities, including the Attolab, the Nanotechnology Centre (C2N), the Laserix EUV fs beamline, the CLIO infrared free-electron laser, the ELYSE electron accelerator for fast kinetic studies, the Synchrotron Soleil, the XUV optics manufacturing facility CeMOX.

Paris-Saclay University gathers scientists working in all aspects of the sciences of light as well as many companies. It makes it a unique place to develop interdisciplinary, intersectoral, and international research.
Implementing partners
Successful candidates will be employed by one of the programme’s implementing partners,
which include Université Paris-Saclay, Thales, Pasqal, Quandela, AbbeLight, and ONERA.
Associated partners
Horiba, Imagine Optic, Saint Gobain, Amplitude will mainly be involved in secondments and networking events.
