Willem Boutu is a research director at CEA, director of the LIDYL laboratory and of the join laboratory NanoLite between LIDYL and Imagine Optic, a French SME specialized in light spatial control and characterization. He is a specialist in the generation, control and use of pulses of laser light with short wavelength and ultrashort durations, applied to the study of attosecond dynamics of electrons in the gas and condensed phases, as well as to more applied uses such a microscopy and metrology.
