CEA Research Fellow, HDR at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell.
Marcelina Cardoso Dos Santos is a biophysicist with an interdisciplinary background (biology-chemistry-physics) and expertise in nanodetection and nanosensors. She has developed methods for the biodetection of single nanoparticles and biosensors both in vitro and in vivo. Her research focuses on the biodetection of biomolecular interactions at the nanometric scale. The core of her scientific program is based on the detection of interactions in the assembly of the adhesion machinery known as focal adhesions. However, she is also developing nanosensors to study membrane tension during autophagy or intracelullar glucose sensors.
