Dr. Vincent Loriette, PhD 1995, HDR 2003. CNRS researcher.
Thesis title: Automatic alignment control for the gravitational wave detector Virgo phase II.
My main fields of expertise are experimental optics, optical modeling, GW detector optics, optical microscopy, adaptive optics.
Since 1992 I’ve been working for Virgo, initially in optical metrology, then on building and running the CALVA facility at IJCLab. In parallel I have made various optical systems for biomedical imaging like superresolution microscopes, 3D imaging in strongly aberrant biological tissues, fast imaging of circulating tumor cells. Since 2023 I am working full time at IJCLab to develop optical solutions and systems that will be incorporated in future evolutions of Virgo.
