Patrick Georges

Programme Coordinator

Patrick Georges, as the director of ISL, took over as the coordinator of LIGHTinPARIS from Jean-Jacques Greffet in September 2025.

Patrick, a CNRS research director, has been the director of the Laboratoire Charles Fabry between 2015 and 2025. His current research interests include solid-state and ultrafast lasers and non-linear optics, and has supervised 26 PhD students and co-authored 325 scientific papers.

Lavanya Premvardhan

LIP Project Manager

Lavanya Premvardhan holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University (USA) and pursued biophysics research in the Netherlands and France, including at CEA-Saclay and SOLEIL Synchrotron. 

Over the past decade, she transitioned to science management, coordinating European FP7 and H2020 projects and, since 2018, overseeing 19 Core Facilities at Institut Curie before joining LIGHTinPARIS as Programme Manager.

Nina Tyminska

ISL Project Manager

Nina Tyminska holds a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Michigan Technological University (USA) and has postdoctoral experience in modelling materials for diverse applications using quantum chemistry methods.

Having shifted her focus to research management, she currently serves as Project Manager at the Institute for the Sciences of Light at Université Paris-Saclay. In this role, she provides management, administrative, and communication support for the LIGHTinPARIS programme.
